Yeah, so, July 9th, we went to the Woodland Park Zoo with Fiona. It was a beautiful day and we both love the zoo, so we thought - fun, bring the kid to the zoo. Trouble is: Woodland Park Zoo is a natural habitat zoo, which means all the animals can get away from the humans if they are not in the mood to be spectacles...all the habitats are HUGE, so even if an eagle eyed human can spot an animal in the habitat, a 7-1/2 month old girlie doesn't really know what she's supposed to be looking at - and ultimately she decides the zoo is a great place to take a nap.

We had a good time, getting to see a sleeping jaguar up close and seriously personal, there were the gorillas who decided to do some human watching. A giraffe, three elephants and an otter. The penguins were sleeping, the orangutans were hiding under burlap, the brown bear was sleeping, the zebras were FAR away...uh, what else did we try to see?

Anyway, these photos could have been taken anywhere - cuz as I mentioned, the animals aren't just right there for you to pose in front of, so it ends up looking like you took a picture in front of a bunch of trees...which is what we did. But for the record, these two photos were taken at the zoo on Fiona's first trip and she was totally unimpressed.
