We're Rolling Now!

3/13/06 - Since Fiona was born, she has always slept next to mommy every night (they even allowed this in the hospital). As a result, she is an expert side sleeper and can easily roll from her back to either side to find mom. This has, however, created a bit of a challenge for her because she's used to rolling just onto her side, sticking her arm out to stop herself so that she can feed. Auntie Gae has been working with Fiona on the business of rolling from back to front and though Fiona is very willing to roll to her side, she always sticks that arm out so that no matter how much she tries (and she does try), she can't make it over onto her tummy. And while this problem still exists for her, she did perform several successful rolls from her tummy onto her back this weekend! It was very exciting for us and we did shoot video footage of it for the grandparents (and for us, of course). So there you have it!
